Staff

Sonia is a qualified Occupational Therapist and has specialised in Mental Health. She has been involved with the project for several years and was appointed as Project Coordinator in June 2012. She attends each session and ensures that all service users who are referred to the project are assessed and introduced to the group, supporting them to set and achieve their personal health and vocational goals.

Michael joined the project as a service user in 2009 and was supported to gain his football coaching and teaching support qualifications. After acquiring work experience at a local school he was appointed as Coping Through Football’s Peer Recovery Worker in 2017. He assists Sonia in providing peer support and practical assistance to service users including employment, training, health and wellbeing interventions.
