CTF enjoys an early Christmas lunch

This year’s Coping Through Football Christmas lunch was held at Douglas Eyre Sports Centre on Tuesday 11th December. Over thirty service users (including one elf!) joined us for the session followed by a traditional lunch with all the trimmings and mince pies.

With the plates cleared away and Christmas songs playing in the background the group turned their attention to tackling a topical football quiz. Leyton Orient’s Martin Ling enjoyed his role as Quiz Master and was delighted to award the winner’s prize.

Wrapping up proceedings, Sonia Smith and Howard Gould paid tribute to two service users who had provided great support and encouragement to their peers during the football sessions and beyond.

LPFF’s CEO Alex Welsh said: “Once again an excellent football session was followed by a lovely Christmas lunch where the atmosphere was warm, friendly and positive was the perfect way to end the year. Happy Christmas everyone.”
